The Native Axe Man Cometh! Yes Paul Underwood of Exit Wound was my guest on Indigenous Sounds. Exit Wound was recently booked to play the Rockin The Oaks Festival in California. Exit Wound is a very good Instrumental band many say that type of music is dead. But Exit Wound is bringing Native Instrumental Music BACK!

In Canada some Native American Women are holding a Walk 4 Justice, To raise awareness of the Treatment and Murders of over 3000 documented Native American and All women in Canada. White Horsewould like to Thank the women of the Walk4 Justice. They have scheduled another walk in 4 years if they cannot get any changes made.

Band Office Occupied, Puppet “chiefs” evicted by Squamish Hereditary Chief Kiapilano in Vancouver
Friday, May 23, 2008, 11:30 am PST
Squamish Nation Territory (”Vancouver, Canada”):
In a sudden action this morning, Hereditary Squamish Chief Kiapilano and a dozen supporters occupied the offices of the state-funded “Squamish Band Council” in North Vancouver, and ordered the eviction of the entire band council.
Kiapilano and his group peacefully took over the band council chambers and issued a press statement.
This action is the latest in a series of occupations led by Chief Kiapilano to expel from his land agencies responsible for the genocide of his people.
Last March, Kiapilano and Eagle Strong Voice (Kevin Annett) initiated these actions by posting eviction notices on the Roman Catholic, Anglican and United churches in downtown Vancouver, ordering them off Squamish land.
In a statement to reporters inside the occupied band council office, Chief Kiapilano said,
“Our people are starving, they’re living in dilapidated homes, and these so-called ‘chiefs’ are doing nothing for them. Now ‘chief’ Bill Williams has signed a deal with the province allowing mining and destruction of more of our land. We’re here today to tell these fake leaders to leave, and we’re staying here until they’re gone.”
Band council head Bill Williams absented himself from the office, and was represented by band council member Byron Joseph, who called in the RCMP and band council police after the group took over the band council chambers.
Chief Kiapilano then ordered Byron Joseph and his staff to leave the premises, and announced his intention to change the locks on the building. Joseph refused to leave, as did Kiapilano and his group.
“We’re consulting our lawyers” said Byron Joseph, shortly before he and his advisors eventually left the building for lunch.
“Chief Kiapilano has declared a common law jurisdiction over this building, and has reclaimed it for all of his people” said Irene Peace Kiapilano.
“We call on all hereditary chiefs to do likewise, and reclaim their land and government from a foreign occupying power.”
Further occupations of church and government buildings will continue on June 1 and indefinitely, until those responsible for genocide of native people are brought to justice.

The Sarasota Herald Tribune and Warm Mineral Springs.
The Sarasota Herald Tribune keeps putting Fake/non Native Americans in there newspaper. We have asked the Sarasota Herald Tribune to stop promoting these individuals. These fake/non Native American Exploiters are NOT an actual Native American. They are not a member of a Federally Recognized Tribe, the ONLY tribes its members can legally claim they are Native American. We gave asked the Sarasota Herald Tribune to simply ask to see there Tribal Membership card write down there name, Tribal number and do two things. Make sure the Tribe they claim membership in is a Federally Recognized Tribe only about 560 exist but there are well over 30,000 fake/state Tribes and call the Tribe and make sure they are a tribal member. We ask the Sarasota Herald Tribune to simply check the FACTS about the people and there claims before you put them in your newspaper. Just because someone dresses up and claims they are Native American does not make this true!
Warm Mineral Springs has allowed an Exploiter of The Native American Ceremonies to perform her made up Ceremony at there park. Most recently at there Cultural celebration allowed this exploiter to perform as a Native American. We have informed Warm Mineral Springs this individual is NOT a Native American! Yet they still give a voice and platform to this individual, PLEASE STOP. Warm Mineral Springs does charge an admission fee to enter there park. If people are paying there hard earned money to see a Native American it should be an actual Native American!! Not someone that is only Native American when they can make money and be in the spot light for a little while.
*** Federally Recognized Tribes are the tribes formed when the US Gov’t made the first census of existing Native Americans after the Indian Wars ended. They require all members show a Direct BLOOD Line to someone that was placed on the original roles to be a member. The fake/state tribes only require that you pay there membership dues to be a member, they are UN-recognized!

Butterfly Deer Woman was exposed many years ago as an Exploiter of The Native American Culture. She still continues today to Exploit Native Americans! PLEASE don’t attend her Ceremonies, demonstrations, and any thing Native American she is doing. ASK to see her Membership card to a Federally Recognized Tribe, she CANNOT produce one.

The Legal definition of a Native American is a member of a Federally Recognized Tribe. Here is the actual list from the Dept. of the Interior/ Bureau of Indian Affairs it is updated regularly visit: http://www.census.gov/pubinfo/www/FRN02.pdf
When someone claims they are Native American ask to see there Tribal membership card, write down number and Tribal affiliation and simply call the Tribe to verify they are an actual member. Caution there have been some fake cards printed that is why it is SO IMPORTANT to verify there claims. You will NOT offend an actual Native American for asking this and checking!!! This PROTECTS EVERYONE!!! Federally Recognized Tribes are the list of Indians that existed back in the late 19th century when ALL NDNS were put on the Federal Roles. This sounds like a very long time ago but actually for Natives living today it was our Grand or Great Grand Parents that were put on the Federal Roles. Federally Recognized Tribes require PROOF of actual Blood Quantum to be a member.
There are MANY NON-Native Americans that claim they are Native. They are NOT!!! Why because they CANNOT PROVE they are a member of a Federally Recognized Tribe. There are MANY fake tribes and even state tribes that exist today. The FAKE tribes REQUIRE no PROOF of heritage and anyone can join if you have the membership fees. These Exploiters not only claim a heritage they do NOT belong to but they also attempt to claim they are leaders, teachers, and perform Ceremonies they have NO LEGAL right to do!!!!! I work with The American Indian Movement-Sarasota to Preserve and Protect Native American Culture, Traditions, and Ways of Life. I would like to make one final point. If it was the proper and correct thing to do, as a proud Native American I would be out there holding public Ceremonies at every opportunity. But myself and the 9 Million other Native Americans DON;T DO THIS!!! PLEASE don’t support Native American Exploiters.
